Ask the Patch Pro: Seeking Gun Safety Experts

Patch is looking for experts who can discuss gun safety and answer reader questions this week.

We want to help you find answers to your questions about gun safety this week, but we need a little help. In the latest edition of "Ask the Patch Pro" we need local experts who can answer readers' questions and offer advice.

If you are a police officer, hunter, store owner or just consider yourself a local expert and can and talk about the safety regarding cleaning, storing and proper gun use, let us know two ways. One: You can leave a comment on this post along with your email address. Two: You can send an email to jordan.lanham@patch.com. We need experts to answer questions on Thursday, Jan. 10.

Curious as to what we are looking for? Take a look at some of our previous Patch Pro posts:

So what do you say, who wants to be our expert?

So - you need weapon safety experts to help gun owners with safety procedures? Gee whiz - I'd think those responsible, law-abidin', peeps that we know all weapon owners are, would ALREADY know safety procedures.
Who'da thunk they were not knowledgeable...?

Tom. Where in the above does it state "to help gun owners with safety procedures"?

“who can answer readers' questions and offer advice”.

I suppose I was just reading what was actually written vs. simply making up my own.

Not sure how you read Readers=Gun Owners
Not sure how you missed cleaning and storing. Could be questions about different cleaning agents, oils, etc...

Regardless, I’m sure there are a decent amount of non gun owners who can read that may have a question or two in the broad category of firearms
