The wins just keep coming for Brett Collins and the Lutheran Cougars.
After helping his team snap an 18-game losing streak in Week 1 of the 2012 high school football season, Lutheran quarterback Brett Collins was nominated for the Patch St. Charles County Athlete of the Week. Collins, with 76 percent of the vote, came out on top.

- Brett Collins—Lutheran High School: 48 votes (76 percent)
- Jordan Moody—Francis Howell North: 0 votes (0 percent)
- Jordan Norwine—Christian High School: 15 votes (23 percent)
Collins had a hand in all four touchdowns for the Cougars. As the quarterback, Collins was 12-for-21 for 209 yards and three touchdowns against no interceptions. As a running threat, Collins carried the ball 17 times for 73 yards and a score.
