Board Considers Rezoning for New Independent Living Development
The new development, Twin Oaks At Stone Ridge, will include land for a future senior center in Wentzville.
A new independent living development adjacent to Twin Oaks Senior Living Campus at Heritage Pointe would also offer a location for a senior center if approved.
At last week's Wentzville board of aldermen meeting, the board gave a first reading to a bill allowing the rezoning of an 8-acre parcel on Santa Elena Drive, north of Wentzville Parkway.
The site is currently zoned R-3B, multi-family residential. The developers are asking for a rezoning to PD-R, Planned Development Residential.
A pedestrian walkway will connect the two developments, and tenants of the new development would be able to use the dining room at Twin Oaks at Heritage Point.
