Wentzville City-Wide Garage Sale

  • Where/When: City of Wentzville, 7 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17
  • Why Go? It's the fall citywide garage sale. There will be great sales set up all over town.
  • Price: Free

Celebrate St. Peters 2011

  • Where/When: 370 Lakeside Park, St. Peters, Sept. 16 to Sept. 18.
  • Why Go? Live music, barbecue, fireworks, games and outdoor activites. Celebrate St. Peters is a three-day event that's fun for the whole family. 
  • Price: Free

Chocolate, Wine and All That Jazz

  • Where/When: 311 N Main St., St. Charles, Saturday, Sept. 17 at 6:30 p.m.
  • Why Go?: Enjoy a classy evening filled with fine wines, hors d’oeuvres, chocolate and live jazz featuring Denise Thimes, an internationally known jazz vocalist. All proceeds benefit United Way of Greater St. Louis.
  • Price: Tickets are $60 each, which includes wine tastings, chocolate samplings, hors d'oeuvres and an intimate concert setting with Denise Thimes. Purchase at www.stl.unitedway.org or 636-939-3300.

MOSAICS Missouri Festival for the Arts

  • Where/When: 100 N Main St, St. Charles, all weekend.
  • Why Go? The free festival is a family-friendly weekend event, with activities for everyone including fantastic art, great entertainment and the opportunity for children to create their own artwork. 
  • Price: Free

2011 Root Ball

  • Where/When: The Meadows Shopping Center, Meadows Circle Drive, Lake Saint Louis on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 6 p.m.
  • Why Go? The inaugural Root Ball is a celebration of Lake Saint Louis' tenth anniversary as a Tree City USA. The key speaker is Sen. Scott Rupp.
  • Price: $45/person or $80/couple and includes dinner from Donatelli's live music, a cash bar and a silent auction.

Taste of Theatre

  • Where/When: Duchesne High School, 2550 Elm St, St. Charles on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 6:30 p.m.
  • Why Go? This student-coordinated event includes a delicious dinner and a series of short plays. All proceeds support our Speech and Drama Club.
  • Price: Free

Wild In the Woods Trail Run

  • Where/When: 700 Matson Hill Rd, Defiance on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 9 a.m.
  • Why Go? Test your limits at the Wild in the Woods Run. Runners will race 6.2 miles through the forest hills of Defiance.
  • Price: $35

Middle Eastern Dance Performance, Workshops

  • Where/When: St. Charles Community College, 4601 Mid Rivers Mall Dr, St. Peters on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 10 a.m.
  • Why Go? Looking for a fun workout? One of New York City’s leading Arabic-style dancers, Ranya Renee, will host a performance along with four workshops focusing on Egyptian-style dance.
  • Price: $45

College Fair at SCC

  • Where/When: St. Charles Community College, 4601 Mid Rivers Mall Dr, St. Peters on Sunday, Sept. 18 at 1 p.m.
  • Why Go? Planning on going back to school? The SCCC College fair will feature more than 90 colleges, universities and technical schools from more than 16 states as well as the armed services will be represented

Kid's Safety Fair at Old Navy

  • Where/When: Old Navy, 2 Meadows Circle Dr, Lake Saint Louis on Saturday, Sept. 17, 10 a.m.
  • Why Go? See Clifford the Red Dog, get a tour in a fire truck and see what it’s like to get fingerprinted.
  • Price: Free

Francis Howell High Garage Sale

  • Where/When: 825 O'Fallon Rd, Weldon Spring on Saturday, Sept. 17, 08:00 am
  • Why Go? The Francis Howell High Class of 2014 is holding their first annual garage sale fundraiser. The sale will be held at Francis Howell Middle School on Independence Road in the Gym.
  • Price: Free

Mixed Media Exploration — Paper Mache

  • Where/When: My Handyworks, 205 S Main St, St. Charles, Tomorrow, Sept. 16 at 4 p.m.
  • Why Go? Each Friday at 4 p.m. drop off the kids at our art studio for an hour of fun exploration with paper mache.
