Since Lake Saint Louis Patch recently became part of Wentzville Patch, we’re introducing a few local business owners you might not yet have met. If you’re getting married soon, thinking of buying or selling a home or just want to feel better, one of these three might be just the neighbor you need to meet this week.
Deborah Sitze, Owner, Boulevard Bride
Boulevard Bride owner Deborah Sitze said she didn’t have any experience in the retail bridal-wear industry before she opened her first store on East Pearce Boulevard in Wentzville. She had spent the majority of her career in insurance, but decided to try something new.
"I was looking for something totally different that was just fun. This opportunity came up and I took it," she told Patch.
These days, Sitze happily spends her time helping brides-to-be find the perfect “cold chill” dress. If you’d like to meet this neighbor, you can find her at Boulevard Bride, which is now located at 300 Lake Saint Louis Boulevard. It is open Tue. - Fri. 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Sat. 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Evening hours are set by appointment.
Sandy Grassmuck, Grassmuck Realty, Owner
Lake Saint Louis resident Sandy Grassmuck had great success in the real-estate industry as an investor who bought and sold houses. Then the market bottomed out, and Grassmuck said she was forced to reinvent herself.
"As long as you're ready to roll with the punches and re-create yourself every couple of years when the market does, you will make it in this business," Grassmuck told Patch.
Grassmuck did just that, opening Grassmuck Realty, a full-service realty company that now boasts more than 10 licensed agents.
The difference in her company in comparison to others, Grassmuck said, is the team effort. "There's no competition here," she said. "We're all here to be successful. We have our own business, but we all work as a team, share experiences and do the right thing."
You can meet this neighbor at Grassmuck Realty, located at 100 Centre on the Lake in Lake Saint Louis.
Dr. Daniel Roach, Owner, Hawk Ridge Family Chiropractic
Dr. Daniel Roach, a Wentzville resident and the owner of Hawk Ridge Family Chiropractic, originally planned to be a medical physician. But after his grandmother was paralyzed by a botched routine spinal surgery, he changed his mind.
“After learning this, I decided that I would rather be in a profession where I could help people with these issues before surgery was necessary, rather than giving them medications to mask the pain,” he told Patch.
Roach became a chiropractor instead, and today, his successful Lake Saint Louis practice’s motto is “getting the sick well and keeping the well from getting sick.”
In addition to his work at Hawk Ridge, Roach is a passionate advocate for children.
“We’ve dedicated this entire year to raising money for different children's organizations,” Roach said. “First quarter, we raised over $1,000 for the Children's Cancer Society.”
Hawk Ridge also raises money for groups such as the YMCA, The Child Care Center in Wentzville and more.
He said the clinic also raised money for the YMCA Strong Community Campaign, which helps cover the costs for kids who would otherwise be unable to afford to go summer camp and do classes at the gym.
Meet this neighbor at Hawk Ridge Chiropractic at 6251 Ronald Reagan Dr. in Lake Saint Louis.
