A Moscow Mills man was seriously injured Wednesday morning when he was struck by a pickup truck, the Missouri Highway Patrol reported.

Nicholas C. Taylor, 32, of Moscow Mills, was standing outside a 2010 Freightliner that was parked on Route F in New Melle at 9:43 on Jan. 8.

Calvin D. Stacker, 64, of Defiance, was eastbound on Route F in a 2001 Dodge Ram pickup. Stacker failed to see the parked vehicle and struck Taylor. Taylor was seriously injured and was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur.

Stacker suffered moderate injuries and was also taken to Mercy Hospital. He was not wearing a safety belt.
