Political Poll: Obama or Romney, Who Has Your Vote?
If the election were held today before the debates, which presidential candidate would you vote for?
We're entering the home stretch of the election season.
Five weeks from now voters will enter the booth, but before that can happen, there will be debates. This week, as you should know, is the beginning of debate season. President Barack Obama and his challenger Mitt Romney will engage in three debates while Vice President Joe Biden will debate Paul Ryan once.
The debates are one of the last chances for the candidates to make an impression. Questions that have been ignored during campaign stops will be asked under the bright lights of the television cameras. Some pollsters think that polls are really meaningless until after the debate.
This week in our Political Poll series, we're going to gauge the crowd pre-debates. We want to see how people feel before the debates and then see how the feel after the two candidates have sparred.
So, if the election were today, who has your vote?
Share your thoughts in the comments below and vote in the poll.

We have unemployment over 8% and economists say its actually much higher, an administration that lies about 9/11/12 terrorist attacks , and a democrat senate that has not approved a budget in over 3 yrs - it's the ECONOMY stupid !!!

Where's my 401K - Good zinger. My 401K is back to what is was over 3 years ago. When the economy tanked in the 30's, it took a decade to recover. Borrowing money from China to change the government in Afghanistan is stupid and does not help our economy. The budgets presented to the Senate would have made the economy worse. I suspect that was the intention of the House. There would be just no way to keep Obama as a one-term president if American economy recovered in only 4 years. So obviously, an obstructionist policy of the House could propose a budget that would help the ECONOMY.

Sonny:
The American Economy did not recover.
Almost every statistic- Unememployment, Gas prices, Food prices, artifically low Interest rates, Bernanke's printing money to keep interest LOW , and Treasury stepping in to prop up the weakest bond markets in history, The european countries about to re-explode into financial crisis, the China drop off in economic activity, people losing their health insurance, and Last--But the worst--A borrowing frenzy that could shortly put USA into another debt downgrade Are all Bad omen's for this country.
Certainly, Obama cannot cliam increasing stock prices is what he wanted as he
MOCKS-- The "You did'nt build that CEO crowd"
The stock market is "psychological". It could be 1000 to 2,000 points lower before 12-31-12. Solely because almost all the gains came from Layoffs, Unemployed, underemployed and massive Borrowed false stimulus still DUE to be paid for.
Once taxes are raised to pay the bills, Once interest rates are free to roam without restraints, Stock markets could Hit 15,000, but Only if Smart money senses "Inflation".
Inflation will hurt every person dependent on Fixed income.
Finally, the hint of higher Capital Gain taxes will cause a big sell-off before this year ends.

Romney...do NOT want to live in a socialist country. I have ha my fill of liars, spreading the wealth and our so called President putting us and our country in harms way in order for him to bow down to our enimies and their leaders. If he would like to live in the Islamic world he needs to go. The sooner the better... Also let all these banks and corporations step up to the plate and clean up their own messes

Yes, this is excellent video and it it true. How do you turn a country's head to see the real truth behind the pupateers who have controlled and ruled for so long when they won't even allow a third party to debate? How do you convince the population to quit sucking up news that is bought and paid for, directed to control public opinion, all of our actions and meant to instill hopelessness in the majority of the population filling heads with whatever fluff is available to keep the majority from thinking for themselves and God forbid from finding out what is going on behind the OZ curtain? How do we come together as patriotic citizens who love America, who know what it is to be free and who hate the infighting that the political parties have purposely created? How do we cut out the political cancer and create an environment in which fairness, compassion, hope, generosity and truly caring for one another can once again exist in truth. I am very afraid for our country given everything that has happened in the last many years. We go to the polls choosing the lesser of two evils and hoping that our choice is better than the other. I do believe that as a country we must turn back to God or that creative force with whom we are all tied and realize that love must be the answer. Looking at the history of the world, it is quite easy to see that fighting and hatred keep everyone stuck in the mud. Come together Americans, believe again in the possibilities and connect to one God.

Michael Drennen - I believe many of the "What if" statement are true. I understand why the Republican news media would have fired him for not adhering to the party line.
On the other hand:
What if a group of corporations, foundations and state legislatures got together and formed a non-profit 501 (c)(3) to promote education?
What if the education was on how to make government smaller by putting things in the hands of private businesses own by the group?
What if they act like lobbyist but avoid all the rules about revealing their sources?
What if their union leaders write laws for the US government?
What if they lobby government representatives to initiate the group's laws and pass as many as 200 each year?
What if the NRA got state gun laws passed to sell more guns?
What if oil companies write state laws to promote fossil fuels?
What if conservatives write state laws that fight voter fraud?
What if these state laws are not only support the groups topics, but use the same phases, the same sentence structure and the same words?
If so, the group must be The American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC).
How many of your representatives are wined and dined by this group? If you don't know it's understandable.

It is amazing to me that anyone would even consider voting for obama after the mess he has created in the last nearly 4 years. The facts are all there, the truth is staring everyone in the face, but so many Americans still choose to leave the blinders on and keep their heads buried in the sand. May God bless our great America and may Mitt Romney win by a landslide. I don't believe the polls that are paid for by those who control the news. Hang in there freedom lovers and Americans who think, who see, and who know the truth. Mitt can win!

J Faubion - You say that Obama created the mess during his first term. You say the facts are there. You say the truth is staring everyone in the face. If you think that there was not a mess during the Bush years. Your version of the truth tells me that you are well off and were unaffected by the economy that almost tanked. Good for you. This also tells me that. like Romney writes off the 47%, there is no way to explain to you what happened or shake your faith in a man with the same Bush plans.

Let's decode J Faubion's remarks:
"It is amazing to me that anyone would even consider voting for obama after the mess he has created in the last nearly 4 years."
This means: I thought Obama was the messiah! He didn't magically fix the things immediately! And I am choosing to willfully ignore the facts that the housing bubble burst, that we were on the verge of another depression, and that we were running up mountains of debt to finance two wars and a financial industry bailout (that handily dwarfed the auto bailouts) after the October '08 meltdown - all things that incidentally happened before he took office.
"The facts are all there, the truth is staring everyone in the face, but so many Americans still choose to leave the blinders on and keep their heads buried in the sand."
This means: Why won't anyone believe that Obama is an anti-American Kenyan blah blah blah or whatever? Why? WHY?!!!!?? (Hint: He isn't.)
"May God bless our great America and may Mitt Romney win by a landslide. I don't believe the polls that are paid for by those who control the news."
This means: Why is Romney so clearly losing this election? It must be a liberal media conspiracy to rig the polls! I want a Biblically-based theocracy!
"Hang in there freedom lovers and Americans who think, who see, and who know the truth."
This means: Romney is the candidate of easily manipulated, angry white men, like us!
"Mitt can win!"
This means: Mitt's going down.

President (then Senator) Obama voted "YES" to the auto bailout that took place at the end of GWB's term. You can pretend that it "happened before he took office" all you want, it doesn't make it accurate. If he was opposed to it or thought it was a bad idea, why didn't he vote "NO"?
Fannie Mae /Freddy Mac - huge contributors to the economic meltdown....President (then Senator) Obama voted "PRESENT" to reform those programs and tighten up regulations on how they operate. Present? Even though he openly commented his concerns about sub-prime mortgages prior to the vote. Present?
These things might have begun before he was President, but they did happen while he was Senator.

The auto bailout was a great idea. Do you have any idea how many industries that touched? Any idea at all? Letting GM and Chrysler shutter operations would have been disastrous for a whole network of suppliers that operate on pretty thin margins, and who would not have been able to survive the collapse of two such heavy customers in a credit market so tight many businesses were going under simply because banks would no longer make the short term loans they required to maintain the cash flow needed to meet their short term financial obligations. Furthermore, it would have put almost every other automaker in a lurch, crippling the industry.
I guess keeping one of the largest segments of the economy from collapsing and further exacerbating the recession was less important to you than adhering to your patriotic principles of "fiscal responsibility." Obviously you have not thought through any of this. What do you think would have happened without TARP - which was GWB by the way, definitely unpleasant, but definitely necessary - what do you think the alternatives would have been like? Certainly not better.

Why not take the reigns away from both the Democrats and Republicans, and vote for a third party candidate?
Did any of you take this survey to find out who you should really vote for?

Michael...Since you asked twice, I decided to take your survey. I really wasn't surprised with who I ended up siding with. Although I was curious to what opposite extreme I would have had to go to side with the "wrong" guy!!
