Quail Ridge Early Childhood Center Open Enrollment Begins
The program offers a wide range of services to children for up to three years before they start kindergarten.
Quail Ridge Early Childhood (QREC) has begun open enrollment for the 2012-2013 school year for typically developing children ages 3-5. Children are eligible to attend QREC for up to three years before entering kindergarten.
Returning and new students may begin registration at this time by stopping by at the Quail Ridge Early Childhood Center, 5275 Quail Ridge Parkway in Wentzville from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The QREC website states that the QREC "is an integrated preschool in which children with disabilities participate in classes with their typically developing peers. We believe that all children benefit when educated in an inclusive environment, regardless of their ability."
Children ages 3 through 5 with a significant delay or disability are eligible for free services, including center-based classroom instruction and therapies for children with speech and motor delays.
Children that are not eligible for special education services may attend the Quail Ridge Early Childhood Center on a tuition basis.
A registration form and schedule of tuition costs is available on the QREC website.
Children must be residents of the Wentzville School District and potty trained in order to enroll. Enrollment packets are available at the center.
