Sam's Club, Chick-fil-A Coming to Wentzville

New businesses to open late 2011, 2012.

Two new businesses will be breaking ground in Wentzville in 2011.

Chick-fil-A will be breaking ground in the next few months. The new restaurant will be located off Wentzville Parkway in front of the Home Depot.

Sam's Club also is putting a new location in Wentzville. The new store will be located near the Wal-Mart.

"They are looking to break ground in August or so," Lambi said. "The location should open some time in 2012."

Sam's Club just announced its Wentzville location. Plans have not been finalized; the company will come before the city's Planning and Zoning Board in April.

The nearest Sam's Club locations are in Chesterfield and St. Charles. Lambi said the Wentzville was chosen for its position.

"They picked us because we are at the 'Crossroads of the Nation,'" he said.

I would love to see a fabric store. Walmart no longer carries fabric and the closest place is Joann's at Mid Rivers. No fabric stores west to Warrenton or North to Troy. I'm very excited about Sam's. We are very spoiled in Wentzville these days. When I grew up here we had to drive all the way to Venture Store in Cave Springs for food. I remember when Wal mart opened up and I thought we were the luckest people ever. LOL

How about a good steak house like Outback. My husband says Red Lobster.

Oh Joy! Oh Rapture! Another fast food palace. Just what we need. Soon every neighborhood street will have a knee deep collection of wrappers and tossed food from Troglodytes tossing them out of their car windows. At this rate Wentzville will soon be the Capital of Fast Food "outlets."

This town has every type of eating facility except for a fish house and a steak house. Would love to see a Captain D's or Red Lobster - in addition to a Texas Roadhouse.

We love Captain D's! Every time we go into St Charles, we just HAVE to go there to eat. We always tell them that they need to open one out in Wentzville. There are no fish places between Wentzville and St Peters!

Let me see now,,, a good place to get a steak, or fish or even a good buffet would be really nice! Tired of driving out of Wentzville to eat at these type of places. Bring them in and watch how much more Wentzville will grow! Keep the money in Wentzville, along with more jobs for residents.

Yeah Chick Fil A!!! Finally a place to eat and the kids can play. Nobody builds play places anymore in restaurants.

I would love to see a healthy place to eat go up in Wentzville. Bread Company gets so tiresome. Sweet Tomatoes, Jason's Deli, something with variety and you can pick a lot of healthy items instead of artery clogging fried junk food.

If we had a Hobby Lobby I'd never have to go any further East than Wentzville to shop. Once Sams gets here I'll replace my Costco membership with Sams and I'll be set! Too bad we're not getting a Costco, I love that store.

Mimi's Cafe would be a nice addition for restaurants.
How about some other stores like T.J. Max, Marshall's, and The Home Store?

Cute. 1 more bank.

How about a full sized university? I would love to attend theatrical events, take auto-repair, gardening, language or other courses. College towns are interesting places and are good for attracting businesses too.

I would vote for a Red Lobster also. I am happy about Chic-Fil-A. I am new to the area (from the east coast) and my family and I frequent the city of St. Louis to dine at the ecclectic restaurants. I would also like to see some of these restaurants that are not a national chain.

Great! More businesses and restaurants coming to Wentzville that I am sure are not paying property taxes, thus putting more of the burden of funding the schools on home and property owners.
