Snow, Freezing Drizzle Expected To Hit Wentzville Area

With snow and freezing rain expected Wednesday morning, Wentzville Patch offers a live look at traffic conditions.

 

Meteorologists with the National Weather Service are expecting a small snow storm to sweep through the Wentzville-area tonight.

According to the National Weather Service, a 60 percent chance for a mixture of rain, snow and freezing drizzle exists before midnight.

Here's the official forecast:

Rain likely before midnight, then snow likely, possibly mixed with freezing drizzle. Cloudy, with a low around 26. North wind between 6 and 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Little or no ice accumulation expected. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible. 

A chance of snow flurries before noon is anticipated for Wednesday, with a high around 35 degrees. The rest of the week appears clear of precipitation. 

The area is also under a hazardous weather outlook, which says some slick spots will be possible on elevated roads.

The storm could wreak havoc on Wednesday morning commuters.
