Vote Now: Select the Top Football Player from Week 6 of the Football Season

Help decide which St. Charles County football player had the best week.

It's time for another edition of the St. Charles County Athlete of the Week fan poll.

This week we turn our attention to the football field. Tell us in the poll below: Which St. Charles County football player had the best Week 6?

Matt Etherton—Fort Zumwalt EastThe Lions are 5-1 and got win No. 5 in a big win against rival Zumwalt South. The quarterback-receiver combo of Shane Barrett and Matt Etherton had a big game. Etherton had just four catches, but he made them count en route to 105 yards receiving. Three of his four catches went for scores—one from 19 yards, one from 56 yards out and another from 16 yards.

Bryce Jefferson—Lutheran High SchoolAlthough Lutheran fell short against Trinity, sophomore Bryce Jefferson had a big game for the Cougars. In the 45-40 loss against Trinity, Jefferson accumulated four touchdowns—one on the ground, two receiving and one on a kickoff return. Jefferson picked up 68 yards on just four carries, 78 yards on five catches and had an 83-yard kickoff return. To top it all off, he had 7 tackles on defense.

Kevin Miller—St. Charles High School: St. Charles quarterback Kevin Miller was a huge part in the Pirates 44-6 win against Winfield. Miller had just 28 yards on the ground, but he was much more effective throwing the ball. He completed 10 of 15 passes for 231 yards and, most importantly for St. Charles, three scores.

Sean Corrigan—St. DominicSean Corrigan had his hands in three touchdowns in St. Dominic's 32-8 win against St. Mary's. Corrigan threw for a touchdown, ran for a score and also returned an interception for six points. Corrigan started off the game with a 6-yard TD pass. He followed that up with a 13-yard run that put the Crusaders up 19-0. He closed out his scoring on a 65-yard interception return in the fourth quarter.

Mark Cushing—Holt
Mark Cushing helped the Holt Indians get started in a big way against Zumwalt North. For the game's first score, Cushing carried the ball 67 yards to put Holt up 7-0. The Indians would go on to 19-12. Cushing ran with the ball 14 times in the contest and racked up an impressive 142 yards—10.1 yards per carry.
