Wentzville Man Charged in Connection with String of Robberies
Four St. Charles businesses near King Edward's Fried Chicken on South Duchesne were burglarized Nov. 11 and 12.
A 24-year-old Wentzville-area man was charged Tuesday with the burglary of King Edward's Fried Chicken earlier this week.
Four businesses located near King Edward's Fried Chicken in the 1200 block of South Duchesne were burglarized between Nov. 11 and 12.
Police arrested Dallas Thomas, of the first block of Taylor in Wentzville. He was charged with burglary, property damage and attempted stealing on Wednesday. Video surveillance at two locations helped police identify Thomas, according to police.
Police are still investigating the burglaries at the other businesses, and for possible connections to other burglaries in St. Charles and Wentzville.
Additional charges are expected, according to Lt. Dave Senter of the St. Charles Police Department.
Thomas is being held on $20,000 cash bond.
Anyone with additional information is requested to contact the St. Charles Police Department at 636-949-3300 or can do so anonymously at 636-949-3333.

Burglaries are on the rise and so people must take action to lower the chances of it happening to them. Three of the best things you can do to protect yourself and your property is to reinforce your doors and windows. 85% of burglars come through a door, so first off you should reinforce your entry doors with a door security device such as the Door Security Pro ( http://www.DoorSecurityPro.com ). 15% of burglars come through a window. I would highly suggest adding security window film to your windows. And finally, you need to get some type of personal protection device in case you are ever confronted by a burglar. Pepper spray is a good choice because it's easy to use and it's highly effective.

a .38 special or a 9mm is much more effective than pepper spray. utilize the new proposed gun shop and shooting range at the old burger king and learn gun safety and accuracy, then practice and study firearms usage.
