Samantha A. Chandler, 17, of Wentzville was northbound on Bryan Road Thursday just after 6 p.m. when she attempted to turn onto the westbound I-70 entrance ramp.

Chandler failed to yield to a vehicle being driven by Taylor A Ochs, 19, of Defiance. The front of Ochs' 2001 Mitsubishi Galant stuck the side of Chandler's 1997 Toyota Avalon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Ochs received minor injuries in the accident and was transported by ambulance to SSM St. Joseph Hospital West. He was wearing a safety belt.

Chandler was not injured.

Chandler's car was totaled, while Ochs' was extensively damaged.
