On the evening of May 22nd, my son and I were throwing long toss at Progress Park in Wentzville, when I collapsed due to heart arrest. Three women (angels), whom never got or wanted recognition, came to my aid and performed CPR until the first responders (Wentzville Fire and Rescue) arrived and took over. After several minutes the EMTs arrived and defibrillated me successfully, hence I can write this letter thanking all involved. I cannot express, in words, the gratitude for the prompt attention I received, as per my primary doctor, everything was done exactly as it should (in a perfect world) and everyone involved “deserved a medal!”. I would like to thank Wentzville Fire and Rescue, the EMTs, the staff at St. Joseph's West, and especially the three beautiful ladies (you will always be dear in my heart) who saved my life. May the Lord keep you and guide you and watch over you as you watched over me.
Thank you very much for the second chance,
Chris Garrett
