6 Reasons to Post an Announcement on Patch

Post lost and found pets on our boards and help reunite lost doggies and their owners!

This article was written by Patch Editor Lindsay Toler.

Is your family pet missing? Or did you find a neighborhood dog or cat that needs to be reunited with its owner? Increase the odds of finding your missing pet or reuniting a found one with its family by posting a lost/found announcement. Don't forget the pictures! We'll make sure it gets featured on the homepage, in our email newsletter and on social media.

Boards are always in the middle of the screen, just to the right of these words you're reading RIGHT NOW! That means everyone sees your post, whether they're on the homepage, reading an article or checking out a blog.

Here are five more reasons to use the Announcement boards:

1. Announce the birth of your newborn and share pictures of his precious tiny feet and hands.

2. Say 'Happy Anniversary' to your sweetheart and share tips for making a marriage last.

3. Raising money for a special cause? Spread the word about the fundraiser and how community members can get involved.

4. Place a call out for volunteers.  Be sure to include details and contact information.

5. Just married or recently engaged? Share the good news with the community. Don't forget to include photos of the happy couple's first dance or a funny shot of the entire wedding party!
