The Wentzville Patch has assembled a weekly calendar of kid-friendly activities and new places to try out with children.

Each week, we'll give you the info on the five best family activities or events for the week.

Free Children's Movie

• Where/When: O'Fallon 15 Ciné and St. Charles Stadium 18, noon today
• Why Go: Free movie with the kids
• Pricing: Free; food for purchase
• Film: "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory"

• Where/When: St. Charles County Youth Soccer Association, 221 Spencer Road, St. Peters 6 to 10 p.m. today, 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday
• Why Go: Sign your eighth grader up to learn to be a referee for SCCYSA soccer. Attendance at all three sessions are mandatory. Cost is $65. 

Naturally Crafty Saturday at the Butterfly House

• When/Where: 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 19, at the , Faust Park, 15193 Olive Blvd., Chesterfield
• Why Go: Kids can make their own souvenirs inspired by the Butterfly House's flora and fauna.
• Pricing: General admission, $6, kids 3 - 12, $4. Kids 2 and under, free. 

• When/Where: Saturday, February 19, 2011 at , 3900 Shady Springs Ln, St. Peters
• Why Go: A night out for parents and a great way to entertain your kids at the same time! Your kids will enjoy fun activities and under the supervision of the YMCA's staff.
• Pricing: contact the YMCA. 

• Where/When: 10:15 a.m. - 11:15 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 19 at the , 100 Clark St, St. Charles.
• Why Go: Your preschooler will love this introduction to art through stories, instruction and activites, designed for children ages 3-5.
• Pricing: $8, member, $10 non-member. Reservations required.
