It's Time to Go Egg Hunting

Easter activities for young and old.

With less than two weeks before Easter, area organizations are hiding eggs all over St. Charles County for young and old to find.

Friday, April 15

  • Adults 21 and older can participate in a flashlight Easter egg hunt from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. April 15 in Civic Park in O'Fallon. The cost is $12 for O'Fallon residents and $15 for non-residents. To register, visit the Parks and Recreation Web site or call 636-474-2732. 

Saturday, April 16

  •  will be home to an  from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. April 16. Children will search for eggs according to age. Eggs will contain candy or slips of paper for prizes including bubbles, DVD movies, scooters and MP3 players. 
  • Visit the  from 9 to 11 a.m. April 16. After breakfast, go on an egg hunt and get your photo taken. The egg hunt is for kids ages 3 to 8 who have breakfast. Cost is $8 per person. 
  • The Wentzville/Lake Saint Louis Jaycees are hosting an Adult Easter Egg Hunt. Registration at 7 p.m. and the hunt at 8 p.m. April 16 at Boulevard park in Lake Saint Louis. Registration is $10 and proceeds will benefit Fisher House. 

Sunday, April 17

  • First United Methodist Church in St. Charles will have a community  and lunch April 17 from noon to 3 p.m. Story time and an Easter egg hunt will follow lunch. 

Friday, April 22

  • 's DECA is sponsoring the 12th annual “Spring Fling” fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, April 22 at Soby Field at Holt High School. The “Spring Fling” will feature a Disney theme with games, prizes, egg hunt and themed raffle baskets. Tickets for the games can be purchased at the front gate. The cost is $1 for five tickets. Raffle tickets will also be available for $1, or six tickets for $5. The , McGruff the crime dog and your favorite fairytale characters will all be making guest appearances throughout the event. There will be three separate egg hunts — preschool and kindergarten, 11 a.m.; first and second grades, noon; and third, fourth, and fifth grades, 1 p.m. 

Saturday, April 23

  • St. Charles First Assembly of God is hosting an  at 11 a.m. April 23 at  The event will include 14,000 Easter eggs, attendance prizes, hot dogs and soda, and an Easter egg decorating contest. This event is free. 
  • The O'Fallon Salvation Army will host an  from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 23. The egg hunt will start at noon. There will be an Easter breakfast at 9:30 a.m. April 24, followed by Easter worship service at 11 a.m.
  • New Town St. Charles is hosting an adult Easter egg hunt at 5 p.m. April 23. Bring a flashlight and baskets. Tickets are $10 for people age 21 to 100.
