Board Votes to Demolish Home Used By Sts. Joachim and Ann
  • Despite the City Administrator's recommendation to make repairs, the Wentzville Board of Aldermen has voted to demolish a city-owned home on Scotti Lane. The residence is currently vacant, but it has been used for the last several years by Sts. Joachim and Ann Care Services to house families in transition. A representative from the organization asked the city for help with maintenance issues.
Former Wentzville Mayor Paul Lambi Fined by Missouri Ethics Commission
  • Former Wentzville Mayor Paul Lambi has been fined $1,000 by the Missouri Ethics Commission for his involvement with a corporation that lobbied to bring a technical college to the city of Wentzville. Lambi was the CEO of Winning Endeavors LLC, a corporation that tried to influence the city in its pursuit of a technical college, while Lambi was also serving as the city’s mayor. Winning Endeavors also used the name WE News and Graduate America Priority 1 (GAP-1).
Foristell Man Attacks Son With Baseball Bat, Police Say
  • A Foristell man is accused of hitting his son in the head and body with a wooden baseball bat on Friday. Mark Allen Calloni, 46, of the 100 block of South Main Street in Foristell, was charged Monday with child abuse.
Wentzville Making Progress in 'Tightening Up' Bid Process
  • Last week, at the direction of Mayor Nick Guccione, Wentzville's procurement director gave a presentation to city staff and the public about changes to the city's bid process. Jerry Hillin, the city's director of procurement, said that a recent audit of past procurement procedures showed that one out of four people serving a position of city leadership (from staff directors to to elected officials) did not comply with procurement regulations on a routine basis.
