Henry Lee (a Chinese American) is still adjusting the death of his wife after 30+ years of marriage. One day as he is walking by the Panama Hotel in Seattle he is surprised to learn that the new owner has discovered a treasure trove of belongings from Japanese families sent to internment camps during WWII. Henry sees a parasol that he is sure belonged to his childhood sweatheart, Keiko. The parasol opens the flood gates in terms of memories and decisions Henry made decades ago.
