Pirate Weekend will feature costume contests and a Pirate School.

Pirates will be back in the woods of Wentzville's Rotary Park for the final days of the St. Louis Renaissance Faire's 15th season.

Pirate Weekend is the last of the event's themed weekends, and will feature costume contests and a Pirate School.

The festival, which began May 18, offers live entertainment on stages throughout the faire site, which covers 16 shady acres off the lower field of Rotary Park.

Also offered are demonstrations of Renaissance crafts, children's activities, concessions, and merchant booths with jewelry, ironwork, leather goods, pottery, soaps and perfumes, costumes and toys.

The gates are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Tickets are $15.95 for adults; $8.95 for children to age 13, children 5 and under free. Military, police, firefighters and seniors age 65 and up receive $2 off. Parking is free.
