Wabash Days Will Feature Civil War Reenactment, Music, Parade

Wabash Days runs Friday, Aug. 23 through Sunday, Aug. 25.

This year's 10th Annual Wabash Days festival will bring a Civil War reenactment to downtown Wentzville along with live entertainment, merchant booths and carnival rides.

The event starts on Friday, Aug. 23. Hours are 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday, noon to 11 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.

The festival features live musical entertainment, live street performances and demonstrations, carnival rides and games, arts and craft booths and food vendors.

Wabash Days is a celebration of the town's history and railroad heritage. This festival is reminiscent of old time fairs and street festivals that were held in many downtown areas.

  • The Battle of Wentzville. Re-enactors will be camping on properties south of the tracks, and the public is encouraged to visit the camps to see how life was lived in the 1860s. The battle reenactment is at 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Wisk property west of the Community Center. On Saturday, the Living History Company will host a ladies' tea at the Green Lantern Center at 11 a.m. and a Victorian ball in the evening.
  • Parade, Saturday, August 24, noon. 
  • Friends of the Wentzville Parks Pound the Pavement for Parks 5k-10k, Saturday, August 24th, 8 a.m.
  • Motorcycle show, sponsored by the American Legion Post 323, Saturday, August 24, 11 a.m.
  • Car Show, sponsored by Wentzville Downtown Business Association, Sunday, August 25, Noon.
