Riley and Ranger: Two Big Dogs With a Lot of Love to Give

Looking to add something four-footed and furry to your family? Heartland Humane Society and the Humane Association of Warren County have lots of dogs and cats just waiting for a forever home like yours!

Ranger

Ranger is being offered for adoption by the Heartland Humane Society of Missouri. Ranger is a handsome, approximately two-year-old Coonhound that weighs about 65 lbs. Ranger is such a hound—he has that wonderful hound-dog bark with a friendly wagging tail and disposition to match.

Ranger is very friendly, loves people and likes to lean into you as he enjoys being petted and rubbed.  Once you start petting he will freeze in place so
you continue. He enjoys exploring the world with that hound nose so would do best with a fenced yard to keep him safely at home.

Ranger would be a wonderful family pet but may knock over toddlers so older children would be a better match. Ranger gets along with other dogs and is fine with cats that are used to dogs.

Riley

Available from the Human Association of Warren County is Riley, a large male Labrador Retriever Mix. This is what Riley says on the Association's website:

I am the HAPPIEST dog in the world!! I just love to have fun. Along with being a very sweet boy, friendly, and great on a leash, I am quite well-behaved and am a pretty quick learner. I sit when asked. At around 6 years old, I find myself looking for a new family. Didn't think that could happen, but it did. Hope you are looking for a great dog—let it be ME!!

Riley is just one of the great pets at the shelter waiting for a home. You can see many of the shelter's pets at the on Saturdays. All dogs and cats are spayed or neutered before going to their new home. For more information, please call the shelter at 513-695-1176, or contact by email through the website at www.homelesspets.org.
