Gap Outlet has relocated to from Warrenton, where it was a part of the outlet mall.
The store, located at 1247 West Pearce Blvd. next to , opened Jan. 13.
One of Gap Inc.’s approximately 3,200 company-owned and 175 franchise stores around the world, the Gap Outlet offers clothing, accessories and personal care products for men, women, children and babies.

“We are constantly evaluating where and when we should open new stores, and we think Wentzville is a great fit for our outlet brand,” said Liz Nunan, of Global External Affairs for Gap Inc., headquartered in San Francisco. “We are constantly evaluating our store fleet to ensure we have the right stores in the right locations to best serve our customers.”
Nunan said she didn’t know why the store relocated to Wentzville.

“While I don’t have specifics to provide about the Wentzville location, I can tell you that we look at a number of factors when deciding when and where to open new stores--including our existing store base, market demographics and sales potential of a particular market.”
Gap Outlet is a vehicle for extending the Gap and Banana Republic brands to a broader customer base, Nunan said of the chain.
“We’re able to offer our customers a unique combination of style, quality and value through our outlet stores. Our styles are designed and produced exclusively for the outlets, with our outlet customer in mind,” she said.
Gap Inc. currently operates more than 300 outlet stores in the United States.
Founded in 1969 with a single store in San Francisco, Gap Inc. brands include Gap, GapKids, babyGap and GapBody; as well as Banana Republic; Old Navy, Piperlime and Athleta.
Product design takes place in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles and London.
According to www.gapinc.com, the first Gap store outside the United States opened in the United Kingdom in 1987. Franchises are located in Asia, Australia, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East.
Wentzville Gap OutletThe new store's hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays.
