Lake Saint Louis Resident Enjoys the Flexibility of a Home-Based Business

Did you know that you can get Black Friday deals without ever leaving home? Lake Saint Louis resident Cammie Cruz has been with Pampered Chef for five years, running her business from her home office.

She's pleased to be able to offer customers the chance to save on Pampered Chef products through the convenience of the internet when others are fighting the Black Friday crowds.

Lake Saint Louis Patch caught up with Cammie via email and asked her a few questions about her career with Pampered Chef.

Lake Saint Louis Patch: What is your background and education?

Cammie Cruz: I have a Bachelors degree in Spanish and also in Elementary Education, with endorsements in English as a Second Language and Bilingual Education.

Patch: What got you interested in Pampered Chef?

Cammie: I have always loved the products, loved the mission of the company "getting families around the dinner table" and that it is a Christian organization. 

Patch: What do you like about working for Pampered Chef?

Cammie: I enjoy the flexibility and being able to earn significantly more working part time than what I did when I was working full time. I also enjoy the free vacations they offer consultants, and all of the free products and other incentives.

But more importantly, I am so thankful I get the opportunity to share these wonderful products with others who love them as well. I get to teach people how they can get dinner on the table quickly and easily for their families, and not spend an arm and a leg. I'm a very busy person with working from home and being a mother of two young girls and therefore my shows are focused around 15-minute dinners that cost less than $2/serving.

Patch: Your title indicates that you train new consultants. Is that done in the home? How many have you trained?

Cammie: In the past five years, I have trained well over 150 consultants (including my own team and those team members in my downline). I have done both in-home training and over-the-phone training as well. I currently train my existing team members at our monthly sales training, and then with newer consultants I do a lot of one-on-one coaching over the phone to help them prepare to be successful in their new business.

Patch: How long have you lived in Lake Saint Louis?

Cammie: 6 years

Patch: Do most of your customers come from Lake Saint Louis?

Cammie: Nope, very few actually! From all surrounding cities and I'll drive up to an hour for a show.

Patch: What's your favorite Pampered Chef product?

Cammie: It's so hard to pick just one! Definitely our incredible Deep Covered Baker though—it's like a new-age Crock Pot that is made of our stoneware clay and can be used in the microwave or oven to prepare easy and economical meals, 15 minute dinners under $2/serving. (Yes, even meat tastes amazing when made in the microwave in it!) 
 
Second would have to be the Smooth-Edge Can Opener. I have had mine over 12 years and it's still going strong. No bacteria because it doesn't cut into the liquids of every can you open, and it leaves no sharp edges whatsoever.

Patch: What special deals are you offering for Black Friday?

Cammie: Anyone who orders on Thanksgiving Day or before 6 a.m. on Nov. 25 will get 20 percent off. Orders placed before 11 a.m. on Nov. 25 will get 15 percent off, and orders before midnight on Nov. 25 will get 10 percent off.
