Newstime Sold to Lakeway Publishers

Carol Clark and her family have run the local publication for 30 years.

The Lincoln County Journal reported Monday that Newstime, the Lake Saint Louis-based newspaper that has been covering local news since 1982, has been sold to Lakeway Publishers, Inc.

Owner/publisher Carol Clark and her family first ran the monthly paper from their basement. The offices are now located at 11102 Veterans Memorial Parkway in Lake Saint Louis. The paper started covering Wentzville news in 1989.

Lakeway Publishers, Inc. publishes 10 other papers in Missouri, including the Lincoln County Journal, the Troy Free Press, the Elsberry Democrat and the Bowling Green Times. Lakeway also publishes eight papers in Tennessee and six in Virginia, as well as four magazines and two shoppers.
