Taste of Wentzville Is Thursday

Food tasting, autumn festival will be held at the Wentzville Community Club.

The seventh annual Taste of Wentzville, put on by the , Wentzville Rotary Club and the is this Thursday.

The event will run from 4-8 p.m. at the . Tickets are $15 for unlimited tasting and two drink tickets. VIP tickets, which include entrance to the VIP tent and an open bar, are $30.

Children's tickets are $6.

According to Chamber Director Tony Mathews, the event is geared more toward families this year.

"We will have a bounce house, pumpkin painting, face painting, storytime and live music," he said.

Each restaurant will have three different items for tasting. "That's 45 different food items for people to try," Mathews said.

Participating restaurants include:

  • Lulu's Shaved Ice
  • Mama's Grill
  • Wentzville Community Club

Mathews said to expect a variety of food — from breakfast and lunch treats to heartier fare.

"Pete's is known for their fried chicken, so I think they will do that," Mathews said. "We'll also have ribs, pulled pork sandwiches, paninis and a wide variety of other things."

The event is held mainly outdoors in the parking area and the organizers are betting on great weather again this year.

"We had a beautiful day last year and it looks to be great tomorrow as well," Mathews said. "We think it will be great afternoon to be outside enjoying the day."
