T's Eatzeria: Classy, Quirky, Great Service and Family-Friendly Prices

T's Eatzeria combines super-friendly service with family fun and tasty food.

You could stand on a corner and look around until a restaurant sign draws you in. But we've got a better idea. Each week, Lake Saint Louis Patch picks a great restaurant either in town or nearby that is worth checking out. Here's this week's choice:

T's Eatzeria

Overview: is your neighborhood pizza, pasta and sub joint known for its calzones and pizzas. The restaurant also features fun events like wine tastings and an upcoming Black & White 'ladies' night. The kid's menu is fun and comprehensive. T's serves lunch and dinner, and will cater almost anywhere (including your boat when you're lounging by the lake in the summer).

Decor: Classy and quirky with charming decorations like a pizza clock. Family ambiance is prevalent throughout.

The Drinks: Non-alcoholic drinks include a variety of soda, milk, iced tea and lemonade. Standard beer and wine list, though the place shines during it's T Time Happy Hour, with $3 glasses of wine, $2.50 domestic beers, and $12 Buckets of Beer. Also featured are half-off tropical cocktails and $3.00 margaritas and rail liquors.

Appetizers: Standard but tasty fare, including Spinach & Artichoke Dip ($9.75) with crusty French Bread and beef-filled Toasted Ravioli ($6.95) served with Marinara. Other appetizers include T's Poppin Poppers, poblanos stuffed with Italian sausage and creamy cheeses, topped with bacon ($8.95). Their bruschetta brings more to the table with a combination of red onion, black olives, tomatoes, artichoke hearts and mozzarella cheese.

Entrees: Standout pizzas include T's Special, with sausage, shrimp, tomatoes, black olives and a four-cheese blend. The Chicken Alfredo pizza brings a white sauce option with garlic, sauteed spinach, feta and mozzarella. They reinvent the Buffalo Chicken pizza by sprinkling celery over the top. All specialty pizzas are $15.95 for Medium (12") and $.18.95 for Large (14"). If you're not in the mood for pizza, try The Classic spaghetti and meatballs ($10.95) or the Pasta Con Broccoli ($11.95) with Cavatelli noodles. All entrees come with a dinner or Caesar salad.

Sandwiches, Salads & Soup: Pick up an Italian Beef sandwich ($9.79) featuring slow-cooked, thinly sliced roast beef, sweet peppers, onions and mozzarella with an option of "Chicago Style" gardenia relish. T's also serves wraps like Chicken Caesar ($8.29) and Roasted Turkey ($8.29). Sandwiches and wraps are served with a side of coleslaw or cold pasta salad.

Salads include interesting variety like the House salad with pimentos and fresh greens ($8.29) or the Mediterranean with Greek Vinaigrette dressing ($8.29). Soup changes daily ($4.49).

Desserts: A must try is their Italian Donut ($5.95), T's twist on a cannoli with buttered, baked dough and sweet, creamy filling, topped with a cherry and powdered sugar. Other offerings include Classic Style Cheesecake ($1.99) and Classic Devil's Food Cake ($1.99). The cheesecake flavor changes weekly and both cheesecake and the devil's food cake come in petite servings.

Service: Some of the best I've seen. Employees refer to customers by name and treat everyone with the highest respect. If you don't order before coming in for take-out, expect a bit of a wait. Sandwiches take 15-20 minutes to prepare, pizza 30-40 minutes. I was there at 5:00 PM and the place was already filling up, so place your order early! Pick-up and delivery for pizza.

Signature dish: Calzones with two-ingredient choices ($6 at lunch, $8.95 at dinner).

Point of Contention: The parking lot where T's Eatzeria is located is NOT handicapped accessible, so plan ahead.
