Updates from the Lake Saint Louis/Dardenne Prairie Chamber

The Chamber is partnering to offer vacation packages and has a Meet & Greet and an After Hours on its schedule.

The Lake St. Louis Dardenne Prairie Area Chamber of Commerce, together with the St Charles County League of Chambers, invites Lake Saint Louis residents, their family and friends, to join them on two exciting trips to Italy and San Antonio.

The Chambers have partnered with Travel Leaders/Jan’s Travel and Cruise and Collette Vacations to offer two vacation packages:

  • Reflections of Italy will depart August 15, 2011 for a ten-day trip from Rome to Milan. A visit to the “Eternal City,” as Rome is known, is the perfect way to start your tour of this magnificent country. The tour includes visits to the Colosseum and Trevi Fountain. During free time you might add a tour to Vatican City and St Peter’s Basilica. From Rome you’ll head to Assisi, the birthplace of St. Francis; Perugia, the historic capital of Umbria; the mystical city of Siena; and Florence, the “Cradle of Italian Renaissance” and home of the world famous Academy Gallery. For wine lovers, you’ll travel to the heart of Chianti region for wine tasting. Venice awaits you with its 117 tiny islands, 150 canals and 400 bridges. Not to be missed is the lively hub of the city, St. Mark’s Square and the Bridge of Sighs. After a day trip to Lugano, Switzerland and Como, Italy you’ll arrive in Milan, the final city on the tour.
  • San Antonio Getaway will depart October 10, 2011 for five days. Referred to as the “American Venice," San Antonio is certainly a remarkable city full of history and culture. Included is a visit to the Alamo, River Walk area and LBJ Ranch in Stonewall. Then it's on to Fredericksburg, home of Chocolat, the only chocolatier to create a liquid praline in the United Sates. Continue to Bandera, the “Cowboy Capital of the World” for a Texas BBQ and entertainment at an authentic dude ranch. Complete your visit as you experience true Mexican Cuisine and learn the art of cooking and making the perfect margarita.
