"We will take everyone's weight, their thigh, hip and waist measurements, lung capacity, BMI and a stress test," Tegeler said.

Much like an intelligence test, a Wellness Quotient, or WQ, measures your overall levels of wellness.

Partcipants will receive a score between 0-200 that scores how healthy a participant is in the three dimensions of life:

  • Physical
  • Chemical
  • Emotional.

The initial Wellness Quotient will be taken between next Monday through Friday June 10.

A weigh-in will take place after six weeks and a final Wellness Quotient after 12 weeks will be required in order to avoid disqualification. The competition culminates at the Wabash Days 5K in August.

Tegeler said there will be weekly meetings, likely on Monday nights, for participants that want to learn more about healthy living.

"This isn't about weight loss — its about becoming more healthy," Tegeler said. "It is open to anyone who wants to improve their health."

Wellness Quotients and weigh-ins will take place at Above & Beyond Chiropractic, 213 Creekside Office Dr. in Wentzville.

There will be one Grand Prize Winner along with 12 weekly prize drawings. Participants' $25 donation will include a T-Shirt and a 30-Day Trial to My Creating Wellness Space, which includes an exercise journal, meal planning, nutrition and wellness tips, a Wellness Quotient and much more.
