$40K Club Keno Ticket Sold in Wentzville Bistro

Joseph Grillo of Troy purchased the ticket at Billy's Roadside Bistro.

A $40,260 Club Keno ticket was sold at a Wentzville bistro, the Missouri Lottery reported.

In a press release, the lottery told the story of how Joseph Grillo, 30, of Troy used his night out with the guys to play Club Keno at Billy's Roadside Bistro on W. Pearce Blvd.

“My dad plays a lot, and I was out with my dad and my brother,” began Grillo, 30. “We decided to find a place that had Keno.”

“I won on the first game, so I just put the ticket away. I didn’t know if I won any more or not after that,” he recalled. “It looks like I did. I was kind of in shock. I had to have my dad look over the ticket, and then I had to have the bartender scan it, just to be sure. It was exciting.”

Grillo texted his wife, Sandy, who thought it was a joke.

“It took a phone call after that to inform her,” he laughed.

The father of two plans to pay bills and put money down on some property.

“It’s been great,” he said of the windfall. “Indescribable. It’s life-changing.”
