Additional Lane Closed on Blanchette Bridge Saturday, Jan. 19

MoDOT suggests motorists take I-364 or I-370 on Saturday.

MoDOT suggests taking an alternate route Saturday, Jan. 19 while an additional lane of westbound I-70 on the Blanchette Bridge is closed for repairs.

MoDOT plans to close the right-hand lane from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. so that they can fill potholes and make minor repairs. The closure leaves only two lanes open on westbound I-70 over the Missouri River.

Motorists may take I-370 or I-364 (the Page Extension) as an alternate.

Interstate 70 has already been reduced from five lanes in each direction down to three lanes in each direction as all traffic is routed to the eastbound bridge during replacement of the old westbound bridge. The new bridge is scheduled to be completed in Fall 2013.

Motorists are advised to slow down in the work zone and obey the posted 45 mph speed limit.
