Barber Shop Shooter Scheduled for Preliminary Hearing Today
The shooting followed a discussion about the Sandy Hook school shootings in December.
Lester Davis, 57, of Wentzville, who was charged with 1st Degree Assault-Firearm, Armed Criminal Action and Unlawful Use of a Weapon after a shooting at a Wentzville barber shop, is scheduled for a preliminary hearing today at the St. Charles County Courthouse at 2 p.m.
UPDATE: At the hearing, the judge will hear hear argument on setting bond for Davis. The bond currently is $400,000, no 10% allowed.
The victim of the Dec. 18 shootings reported to police that the incident followed a discussion of the Sandy Hook school tragedy.

A preliminary hearing, according to Law.com, is "a hearing to determine if a person charged with a felony (a serious crime punishable by a term in the state prison) should be tried for the crime charged, based on whether there is some substantial evidence that he/she committed the crime."
