Baseball, Easter Fun and Men in Kilts: Weekend Fun Doesn't Get Much Better Than This

Lake Saint Louis Patch picks some great family activities for the weekend, plus some date night ideas for Mom and Dad.

When/Where: April 8-10 at in St. Charles. The event kicks off Friday at 5:00 pm and goes until 10:00 pm. Come back Saturday and Sunday at 10:00 am for an entire day of entertainment.

Why Go: The Missouri Tartan Day Festival is a free family-friendly celebration of Scottish-American Heritage. Join in the fun with a fantastic array of music, food, dance, crafts, storytelling and clans. You'll also find animal exhibits and interactive activities for the whole family. On Saturday at noon, watch the parade as they travel down Main Street beginning at the boathouse.

Why Go: Enjoy live music from the Heather Dawn Duo when they take the stage at Donatelli's.

Why Go: Lake St. Louis and the Lake St. Louis Mothers Club team up again for the citywide Easter Egg Hunt.  This event is happening – rain or shine!  There will be fun for all ages- bounce houses, egg hunt by age groups, clown, pony rides, games.

When/Where: Sunday, April 10 from 2 p.m. – 3 p.m. at .

Why Go: An experienced staff of local coaches will instruct players of all skill levels, ages 9-12, the fundamentals of pitching. Emphasis will be placed on developing skills that promote proper form and techniques.

When/Where: Sunday, April 10 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Wingate Hotel, 32 Missouri Research Park Circle in St. Charles

Why Go: Cat In A Basket, a local gift company, is hosting a Spring Shopping Boutique & Girl’s Day Out featuring locally made products from moms with home based businesses, on-site hair & makeup stylist and gourmet treats.  Proceeds from the event will benefit the St. Louis Crisis Nursery.
