Wentzville Christmas Happenings

Events to celebrate the spirit of the season.

Wentzville Patch has rounded up a range of holiday events happening in and around Wentzville so you can plan your holiday season in advance.

Ongoing Events and Festivals:

  • — The 15th annual Holiday Night Lights Display in . The drive through is open on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through Dec. 11. The display is open daily from Dec. 15-30 (except Christmas Day). Hours of operation  are 6 p.m.-10 p.m. Admission is $8 per vehicle up to 6 people. 
  • — Head to Main Street St. Charles to meet a cast of Christmas characters ranging from Jack Frost to Santa Claus. Festival hours are 6:30-9 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays; 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturdays; noon to 5 p.m. Sundays and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Christmas Eve.
  • : Visit the Historic Daniel Boone Home and Boonefield Village for a candlelight tour Dec. 2, 3, 9 or 10. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. the last ticket is sold at 9 p.m. Cost is $15 for adults and $10 for children. The Daniel Boone Home is decorated with 19th century decorations and brought to life with thousands of candles and lanterns.
  • Enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride, try freshly-roasted chestnuts around the bonfire in the town square, sing Christmas Carols in the church and then head to the children's library for activities. Event runs from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Dec. 2 and 9.

  • — Listen to musical performances from five local groups from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the St. Charles County Heritage Museum while you tour the museum for free.
  • Holiday Tree Lighting — 5:30 p.m Sunday in the wedge of W. Pearce Blvd. and Luetkenhaus Blvd.
  • Holiday Parade — Up Pearce Blvd. immediately following the tree lighting on Sunday

Dec. 5-11

  • The Power Chords — Holiday recital at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 6 at Crossroads Elementary School.
  • Winter Concert — First graders at Lakeview Elementary School will perform from 6:30-8 p.m.
  • Choir Concert — The choir will perform from 7-9 p.m. Dec. 6
  • Winter Choir Concert — The choir will hold its winter choir concert from 7-9 p.m. at Reininger Auditorium at
  • — St. Charles Community College will host free ice skating from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Dec. 7. Holiday crafts and activities will be available from 5-8 p.m.
  • Band Concert — The South Middle School seventh and eighth grade bands will hold their winter band concert from 7-9 p.m. Dec. 8 at Timberland High School.
  • Holiday Program — The Crossroads Elementary holiday program will be held at 7 p.m. Dec. 8.
  • 80s Trivia Night — 6:30 p.m. Dec. 9 at Progress Park
  • Breakfast with Santa — Discovery Ridge Elementary School will host a meal with Kris Kringle from 8-11 a.m. Dec. 9
  • Holiday Gift Shop — A gift shop will be held at 8 a.m. Dec. 9 at

  • Holiday Night Lights Walk-through — 6-8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 12 in Rotary Park
  • Winter Band Concert — The Timberland High School winter band concert will be held at 7 p.m. Dec. 13 at the THS Theatre.
  • Band Concert — The Frontier Middle School band concert will be held from 7-9 p.m. Dec. 15 at the school
  • Choral Concert — Holt High School choral concert from 7-10 p.m. Dec. 15 at the school
  • Winter Choir Concert — Timberland choir concert at 7 p.m. Dec. 15 at the THS Theatre
  • — Mrs. Claus will tell the traditional story at First Missouri State Capitol Historic Site from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 18.
  • — Head to the First Missouri State Capitol at 8 p.m. Dec. 18. The Buckhannon Brothers will perform old-time mandolin and fiddle music that's indigenous to Missouri.
