Cold Weather Doesn't Hamper Easter Eggstravaganza

City held the event Saturday at Rotary Park.

The cold and windy weather Saturday didn't hamper participation in the city of Wentzville's  at .

The city hid over 20,000 eggs for children ages 1 to 10. Eggs contained candy or slips of paper for prizes including bubbles, DVD movies, scooters and MP3 players.

Mayor Paul Lambi served as master of ceremonies.

A bone hunt for dogs, slated to follow the egg hunt, was canceled due to lack of pre-registration.
