We hope you'll make The Daily Dose part of your daily routine. And we'd love to hear from you on how we can make The Daily Dose a more integral part of your morning. Any suggestions can be sent to Local Editor Brian Feldt at brianf@patch.com

3. Question of the Day

Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon has proposed to raise casino entrance fees by $1 per patron to help finance the state's veterans homes, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

A casino lobbyist, according to the report, said the proposal amounts to "a bottom-line hit of $53 million for our companies" each year and could prompt cuts in marketing, capital projects and staffing at the state's 12 casinos.

But we ask you: Would you pay $1 to enter a casino? Why or why not?

Weigh in by leaving a comment below! For each comment you leave in The Daily Dose, you'll be entered into a weekly drawing to win awesome Patch prizes! A winner will be picked Friday at noon. Winners will be notified via email.
