Best of their Breeds: St. Charles Kennel Club Show. Photographer David Becker spent Saturday at the St. Charles Kennel Club all-breed dog show and obedience trials. Big dogs, little dogs, furry dogs, spotted dogs, dogs of every color and breed were at the National Equestrian Center on Saturday and Sunday, and Lake Saint Louis Patch has a photo gallery featuring 16 of them!

Thursday Update: Creve Coeur Police Find Missing Man With Critical Injuries man reported missing last night who was discovered by police after an apparent fall down a 12 foot embankment has died. The 81 year old man was walking his dog in a neighborhood in the New Ballas and Ladue Rd. area Wednesday night. Police found the unidentified man approximately 100 yards from his home. An autopsy was planned for Thursday.

Extra Bus Involved In Minor Accident: A Ladue First Student bus was involved in an accident on Ladue Road at 8:24 a.m.This was an “extra” bus because of the storms, and carried no students today to or from any school. The driver was slightly injured and brought out Ladue’s Fire and Police Department to deal with the accident.

Hazelwood Avenue Gets a Much-Needed Facelift: Hazelwood Avenue, which runs into the City of Berkeley, will be white-topped this summer.

Police are investigating a possible rape at a nursing home in St. Charles this week. Both the victim and suspect are residents. The investigation is ongoing.
