Deadline for St. Charles Fair Queen Is Approaching

Candidates must register by May 30.

Young women interested in participating in the St. Charles County Fair queen competition have only a few days left to apply. Applications must be submitted by Monday.

The St. Charles County Fair will be held July 26-30 at in .

Fifteen contestants are the maximum allowed. Applicants must fill out an application, two good quality wallet-sized head shots (head and shoulders only) and a $75 entry fee.

Entrants must agree that the time, manner and method of judging are at the sole discretion of the St. Charles County Fair Queen Committee. Contestants will be judged on five categories. They are:

  1. Personality — 20 points
  2. Personal appearance — 25 points
  3. Portfolio — 25 points
  4. Participations in pageant activities — 15 points
  5. Talent — 15 points.

Official Rules and Regulations

  • Contestants must be female and a resident of St. Charles County for at least six months.
  • Applicants shall be single, never married nor had a marriage annulled.
  • Contestants who are pregnant or have been pregnant are ineligible. 
  • Must be at least 17 years old, but no older than 21 by July 1.
  • Winners will receive prizes and cash. The queen will also receive a scholarship to and her court will have scholarship opportunities from Lindenwood. Some rules apply.
  • Each contestant shall pay a $75 entry fee by way of a sponsor
  • The queen must be present through the duration of the fair. The runners-up, Miss Congeniality and Miss Talent will be required to attend activities during the fair. A schedule will be worked out with those winners. Prizes will be withheld if duties are not completed.
  • If the queen fails to complete her term, the title will be passed to the runner-ups in order of rank.
  • The St. Charles County Fair Queen may represent St. Charles County at the Missouri State Fair queen pageant the following year in Sedalia.
  • Conduct deemed to be improper and detrimental to the St. Charles County Fair and/or the queen pageant will be reason for disqualification and dismissal. This includes Facebook pages which say or display improper conduct. 
  • Contestants can only compete for two consecutive years.

Mandatory Event Dates

  • June 27 — Get acquainted meeting
  • TBA — Fourth of July parade
  • July 23 — Judging
  • July 25-26 — Rehearsal and coronation
