Easter Fun is Not Just For Kids

Along with the usual Easter egg hunts for kids are several opportunities for the grown-ups to enjoy the fun, too.

Over the next two weekends, you can find lots of Easter fun in the area with events planned for both kids and adults.

  • Kids in Lake Saint Louis can enjoy a egg hunt, plus bounce houses, clowns, pony rides and games at this Saturday, April 9 at 10 a.m. The event is free, and is sponsored by the city and the Lake Saint Louis Mothers Club.
  • Adults 21 and older can participate in a Flashlight Easter egg hunt from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. April 15 in Civic Park. Cost is $12 for O'Fallon residents and $15 for non-residents. To register, visit the Parks and Recreation website, www.ofallon.mo.us/parksandrec, or call 636-474-2732. 
  • Wentzville's will be home to an Easter Eggstravaganza from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. April 16. Children will search for eggs according to age. Eggs will contain candy or slips of paper for prizes including bubbles, DVD movies, scooters and MP3 players. 
  • Visit the  from 9 to 11 a.m. April 16. After breakfast, go on an egg hunt and get your photo taken. The egg hunt is for kids ages 3 to 8 who have breakfast. Cost is $8 per person. 
  • will have a community Easter egg hunt and lunch April 17 from noon to 3 p.m. Story time and an Easter egg hunt will follow lunch. 
  • St. Charles First Assembly of God is hosting an  at 11 a.m. April 23 at  The event will include 14,000 Easter eggs, attendance prizes, hot dogs and soda, and an Easter egg decorating contest. This event is free. 
  • The will host an Easter celebration from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 23. The egg hunt will start at noon. There will be an Easter breakfast at 9:30 a.m. April 24, followed by Easter worship service at 11 a.m.
  • New Town St. Charles is hosting an adult Easter egg hunt at 5 p.m. April 23. Bring a flashlight and baskets. Tickets are $10 for people age 21 to 100.
