Extra Counselors at Holt Today Following Saturday's Double Shooting
The district brought in extra counselors to help students and staff deal with the tragedy.
Extra counselors are available at Holt High School today after the shooting of a Holt student Saturday afternoon.
A Holt freshman who was shot by his mother at their home in Stone Ridge Canyon subdivision is in stable condition at St. Louis University Hospital.

Matt Deichmann, director of communications for the Wentzville School District, told Patch in an email that the counselors would be available for any student or staff member who needed assistance in dealing with the tragedy.
"The WSD is deeply saddened by the shooting that took place over the weekend," Deichmann said. "Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victim and his family."
