Food Adventures 101: Lake Saint Louis Patch's Newest Column

Hello Lake Saint Louis, and welcome to our new food column!  

At first glance, Lake Saint Louis may not seem to have much in the way of food adventures. After all, how many times can you go to or (delicious as they may be), without getting bored?

Well, I'm here to tell you it's time to think outside the bread box.

Food Adventures 101 will serve to revive the foodie in you by offering a different kind of restaurant review - one that tells you where to find the 'Best Of' food and drink around town and nearby, even if that means it's in your very own kitchen.

No one can say Lake Saint Louis lacks grocery stores, so each week I will include a recipe of something easy to make in the comfort of your own home that easily rivals anything you could find in a restaurant.

As spring and summer get into full swing, you can look forward to great grilling and BBQ techniques, as well as fresh seasonal recipes that don't break the bank.

I'll also be reviewing other unique food adventures, including cooking clubs, classes, potlucks and festivals - basically anything that I think you might enjoy or will help you to become a better chef.

Remember...if I can't find something better than what's available at your local eatery, I'll review it and admit my inferiority. After all, there's much fun to be had supporting a local business and hanging out in the community you know and love.
