Free Holiday Fun at The Meadows: Santa Pictures, Carriage Rides and Hot Cocoa

The Meadows shopping center in Lake Saint Louis hosts the Mayor's Tree Lighting Ceremony and lots more holiday fun.

The Mayor's Tree Lighting Ceremony

The annual ceremony in Clock Tower Plaza welcomes the holiday season with caroling by the Green Tree Elementary Choir, complimentary chocolate chip cookies from Max & Erma's, hot chocolate from The Meadows, horse-drawn carriage rides and a visit from Santa. The free event is at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 30.

The Meadows is offering a free professional 4x6 picture with Santa and encourages guests to bring their own cameras. The complimentary service is sponsored by The Meadows and Von Maur and is provided by Thomas Warwick of Warwick Photography in Brentwood, MO.

"The highlight of the holiday season is about the magic that a visit with Santa brings to a child," Meadows Marketing Director Bridget Geiss said. "Our free pictures with Santa program allows the focus to remain on this wonderful family tradition without the pressure of purchasing expensive photo packages."

Santa's hours throughout the season are weekends through Christmas from noon to 5 p.m. and Christmas Eve from noon to 3 p.m. Santa is located in Von Maur.

Free Hot Cocoa

Meadows shoppers can enjoy a free hot cocoa each Saturday until Christmas and on Christmas Eve from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Look for it at Lulu's Concessions.

Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides

Complimentary horse-drawn carriage rides around the Meadows are provided by the St. Louis Carriage Company every Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. and Christmas Eve from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
