Hello! Meet Your New Wentzville Patch Editor

Brian Feldt begins work as the new Wentzville Patch editor beginning today!

Hi! My name is Brian Feldt, and I’m the new editor of Wentzville Patch

First off, I believe we all owe a tremendous amount of gratitude for the work she’s put in here. She’s built Wentzville Patch into the community hub that it is today, and I’m extremely excited to make it even better!

A bit about me: I’ve been with Patch.com for about a year and a half now, serving as the editor of Bolingbrook Patch—Bolingbrook is a large community in the southwest Chicago suburbs.

I’m a native St. Louisan. I grew up in Florrisant before moving to St. Charles and then again to O’Fallon. I attended and played hockey all four years, spending many hours in the . After high school, it was off to college at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale for a quick five-year stint before attending graduate school at the University of Illinois Springfield, where I earned a Masters degree in Public Affairs Reporting.

After school, I was fortunate enough to get offered a job with Patch in Bolingbrook, where I launched the site and covered everything from sports and schools to cops and a never-ending Drew Peterson saga.

Needless to say, I’m very happy to be returning to the land of St. Louis Cardinals, and Schlafly beer.

I am very much looking forward to beginning the next chapter of my career here in .

No doubt you’ll be seeing me around town in the coming days, weeks, months and beyond. I can personally guarantee that you’ll more often than not find me at with my Patch laptop. If you see me, please feel free to stop by and say hi and grab a cup of coffee.

I’m also always available online. You can reach me anytime at brianf@patch.com.

Among a few my goals I have for the site include:

Making Wentzville Patch a more engaging experience.

I want it to become more conversational and socially interactive. This depends just as much on me as it does you. Of course, you will be the one commenting and contributing photos and content but I will also have to provide content that is sure to drive and facilitate conversation. I want Wentzville Patch to be the talk of the town.

Making Wentzville Patch the voice of Wentzville.

There are a few ways to do this. First, by maximizing my first goal. Secondly, to create an extensive team of community bloggers. If you think you’d like to blog for Wentzville Patch, pitch your idea to me (again, brianf@patch.com).

Making Wentzvillle Patch your go-to social experience.

Yes, we’re on Facebook and Twitter—really, who isn’t these days? At my last stop, Bolingbrook Patch’s Facebook page was constantly buzzing with conversation, breaking news and photos from around town. That’s my goal for Wentzville Patch. Same goes for Twitter, where we’ll be updating our followers with news, useful information, local deals and more! So if you haven’t already, follow us on Facebook by CLICKING HERE or on Twitter by CLICKING HERE.

Hope you all are as excited as I am, and I look forward to seeing you around town!
