Claire

Claire is a front-declawed domestic short hair chocolate calico female. She was adopted out as a kitten to a nice family. They took good care of her. Unfortunately a member of the family developed allergies, and Claire was surrendered to an animal shelter.  The ladies at the shelter felt she was so sweet and after they checked her microchip, they returned her to Heartland Humane Society.  She is a large cuddly girl who would love to curl up next to you. She loves to be brushed. She was the only cat at her previous home so she would be most happy as the only kitty or could live with a friendly dog. Claire's Birthday is Sept. 8, 2004.

The Heartland Humane Society is a 501(c)3 non-profit group of dedicated foster homes that gives abandoned, abused, and unwanted animals another chance for loving, permanent homes through our adoption program, following the no-kill philosophy. We reduce pet overpopulation in our community through collaboration with veterinarians, animal welfare organizations, and supportive individuals and organizations by providing affordable spay/neuter procedures and humane education. Heartland Humane Society of Missouri is funded by adoption fees, donations, fundraising events, grants and tributes.

Buddy

Available from the Humane Association of Warren County is Buddy, a yellow Lab mix. Buddy is a male, approximately one year old. His owner relinquished him because he couldn't take care of Buddy any more. Buddy is looking for someone to play with him and just love him? Would you like to be that person?

The Humane Association of Warren County is a local non-profit animal welfare organization. Since its inception in 1973, the Humane Association has been bold in its commitment to promote the humane treatment of animals and to stop the overproduction of unwanted pets. The Humane Association of Warren County is an independent organization primarily supported by donations. We operate the only Animal Shelter and Adoption Center in Warren County. The shelter provides a myriad of services including: adoptions, humane education, lost and found pet services, low-cost spay/neuter programs, volunteer opportunities and more.

Shadow

Shadow is a six-year-old husky mix available for adoptions from Five Acres Animal Shelter. He was transferred from another animal control facility where his time had run out. This handsome guy is loyal and affectionate. He knows to sit, shake and is potty trained. He also walks well on a leash. He is very mellow and spends his days here in one of the offices. Shadow does not do well with small children or other animals because he has arthritis that causes him occasional pain. He would provide great companionship to someone that can offer him the quiet home he desires.

Five Acres Animal Shelter is a 501c3 nonprofit organization located in St. Charles. Our mission is to end pet homelessness, promote responsible pet ownership and advocate for animal welfare. We are the only no kill shelter in St. Charles County and rely completely on private support. We rescue and find homes for hundreds of dogs and cats every year. In addition to our adoption program, we have a humane education program and Animeals pet food pantry for low income pet owners.
