Kellogg's Recalls Mini-Wheats Due to Possible Metal Fragments

Two Frosted Mini-Wheats products may contain flexible metal mesh fragments, according to a voluntary recall notice from the Food & Drug Administration.

Kellogg’s has issued a voluntary recall for two of its Mini-Wheats breakfast cereals, according to a news release from the Food & Drug Administration.

More than 2 million boxes of Frosted Mini-Wheats Bite Size and Mini-Wheats Unfrosted Bite Size may possibly contain "flexible metal mesh fragments." Products with the letters KB, AP or FK before or after the Best If Used Before date are included in the recall.

There have been no reports of illness by the cereal, according to a report from CBS News.

Customers who have purchased affected products are encouraged to contact Kellogg Co. via the company website, or by calling 800-962-1413 on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern Time.

I, too, didn't expect to be affected as much as I was - especially since I knew she was "elderly" for a dog. :)
