The United Services Early Childhood Center has been awarded more than $100,000 in tax credits from the State of Missouri’s Department of Economic Development's Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP).

Qualifying donors can receive a 50 percent tax deduction off of their state taxes. Additional deductions can make the net contribution a fraction of the actual donated amount.

Jeanne Palombo, Development Manager of United Services said, “The NAP program has been a wonderful incentive to donors and the agency over the years. The credits can entice donors to give a gift or in some case increase their contribution due to the fact that half of the donated amount comes directly off the donor’s tax liability. It’s often difficult for supporters to believe it works this way, but it is a tried and true way of rewarding our donors and is a great economic development tool for the state as well.”
