Lake Saint Louis Police Offer Help to Find Lost Pets

When your beloved pet is missing, your first call should be to the police department.

Did your miniature Schnauzer slip out the door when you were carrying the groceries inside? Did your Labrador pull out of his collar on your evening walk? If so, you know that feeling of despair when you see your beloved pet sprinting away and disappearing between houses and trees.

Lake Saint Louis police department recently sent out a press release to let residents know that they are ready to help with the search.

“The first thing you should do,” said Police Chief Michael Force, “is to call the Lake Saint Louis Police Department to report it. That way, our officers who are out patrolling can keep an eye out for your pet and may be able help you."

“Affixing lost pet posters to traffic signs and light poles is not an effective way to get the word out,” Force said, “and it can obscure or damage traffic signs. It is also a violation of City Ordinance.”

Lake Saint Louis Patch is also eager to help find your lost pet. You can post an announcement yourself or send your information to Tamara.Duncan@Patch.com. Please include a picture—announcements with pictures can be featured to run in the top spot of the page.
