Lola and Minnie: Ready for a Loving Home

Looking to add something four-footed and furry to your family? Heartland Humane Society and the Humane Association of Warren County have lots of dogs and cats just waiting for a forever home like yours!

Lola

Available from the Human Association of Warren County is Lola. Lola was turned over to us as a stray with her other two sisters, one looking like her with the long hair and the other sister was all black with short hair.

All three were shy and traumtized by being dumped. Lola was the shyest of the three and has worked very hard to learn to trust people. And improve she has, she is so comfortable in the foster home now that she plays with her toy mice, walks around freely exploring her environment (initially she would not explore, she would just sit and watch), eating good and always using her littter pan.

When adopted it will probably take Lola a few days to a week to adjust to her new environment because of the trauma she suffered in the early days of her life. As friendly and beautiful as she is now, the wait will certainly be worth it!

Minnie

Minnie is being offered for adoption by the Heartland Humane Society of Missouri. Minnie is a  female beagle/hound mix who was born on Sept. 1, 2010 and currently weighs 27 lbs.

This beautiful little girl was waiting at a rural animal control where no one came to claim her. Minnie is a friendly girl but can be a bit choosey about her dog friends.

Minnie is truly a hound. She loves to explore the world with her nose so she will need a fenced yard to keep her safe in her new home. Minnie is crate-trained and appears to be house-trained, too.
