Mainieri Wins Heated Race for Wentzville Fire Board

Patch readers were very vocal about the qualifications for both candidates.

With 100 percent of precincts reporting, Robert Mainieri, Jr. has won the race for a seat on the Board of Directors of the Wentzville Fire Protection District.

Mainieri took the race with 2625 votes, 55.64 percent of the total.

James J. Peanick, Jr. had 2084 votes, 44.17 percent of the total.

Patch's March 29 story, , reported that Mainieri's campaign had raised more than $40,000  in contributions, with a notable $38,600 from the Wentzville Professional Firefighters organization.
