More Guilty Pleas in Atkinson-US Fidelis Case

Cory Atkinson may spend less than four years in prison for his part in the US Fidelis fiasco.

Fox2 News reported Monday that Cory Atkinson, co-owner of the US Fidelis auto-service contract company formerly located in the old Belz Factory Mall building in Wentzville, pleaded guilty to federal charges.

The charges included conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud and filing false tax returns. This is in addition to his guilty pleas last Thursday to state charges of fraud and stealing.

Atkinson may spend less than four years in prison, The Post-Dispatch reported Monday, if the US District Court judge agrees to a plea agreement that would drop one charge of tax evasion.
